Heart To Heart

Ayurvedic Wellness at my place.

Instead of being a patient with an illness become a student of health and well being.

Combining all my knowledge of herbs, meditation, yoga, singing bowls, pranayama, food therapy, sound healing, marma massage, colour and even precious stones and jewellery.

The first consultation will include a journal for writing down therapies you wish to try and a daily/weekly treatment plan. A specific Ayurvedic Massage Oil and Sample Herbal Teas.

I would like you to fill in an Ayurvedic questionnaire and reason for the consult beforehand. Over a cup of Herbal Tea we will spend our time writing down and discussing your treatment plan, which very much depends on what you are interested in or feel will help you.

Then we will go through a meditation (you can record my voice for later) or Pranayama/breathing exercises, massage therapy, yoga postures/routine, food therapy, TFT treatment, whatever you wish to learn.

The cost of a 1 hour consultation is $180. Follow ups are $60

A Heart to Heart wellness package includes three hours/3 sessions of teaching meditation, yoga, food therapy whatever you are interested in learning and Costs $250

Workshop in April - No date yet - Expressions of Interest ?

Anyone interested in learning how to cook some lovely vegetarian food and then enjoying eating it with me, one Saturday lunch time let me know! This will be my first Food Therapy workshop. Spend 3 hours enjoying the garden, or browse my book collection or sit by the pool with a cup of Herbal Tea. Eating, cooking together and enjoying life.

I love that the classes are becoming a community, somewhere to meet and catch up.

Please arrive early for a catch up and be mindful of others that may want to rest quietly.

Yoga for March

A change in the season, a change in our routine. The good news is that as the weather cools, Pitta or fire energy will be less of an influence on us. Less anger, irritability and frustration. Autumn is a time of change or Vata energy. Governed by air and space.

When out of balance these elements can create anxiety, busy mind, pain and insomnia. In balance they encourage creativity, positive changes and peace.

Yoga should be slow, strengthening and supportive bringing in more heating postures such as warriors, lunges and balancing postures. We will be exploring balance this month, working on strength in the core, arms and legs.

Have a go at moving from Warrior 1 to warrior 3 !

Laugh if you fail, to fail is to try, to be strong and move on. There is always a gentle adaption for every yoga posture. Strength may mean listening to your body and being gentle.

Food Therapy

It is time to eat more soups and nutritious warming vegetarian dishes such as veggie chilli, kitcheree minestrone soup, veggie lasagne.

If you would like to learn how to cook these nutritious and delicious meals. Tap www.learningcirclesyoga.com into your phone and click on Bird Song.

Creativity

When my daughter was three I was working as a Herbalist one day a week at The Gnostic Healing Sanctuary. She came with me to drop off herbs and loved looking around the Gnostic Forest shop. She choose some Magical Unicorn Cards for a present, she loved to look at the pictures and then as she grew older to read all or one of the positive inspiring messages. They have been a great teaching tool in her life and inspiration for both of us.

I am not sure I believe in Unicorns, I wish I did, but I think the cards are words of wisdom that apply to all of us. Written by Doreen Virtue a Doctor of Psychology.

This is the Creative Card.

“ Spend more time being creative. That means doing something artistic, such as painting, drawing, singing, dancing, dressing up, writing a story or taking photos. When you do something creative, you’ll be free and happy. Creativity also helps you see the world in new ways. You notice amazing new details in every day life and see colours that you never noticed before. Creativity also sparks new ways of doing things, which also positively affects work and play.

Doing things the same way every time puts you in a “rut” Ruts are major causes of stress and stress can lead to sad or tired feelings. The best way to get out of a rut is by doing something creative. It doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you do it with a creative flair.”

Autumn is a breath of fresh air and a great time to make you life more enjoyable.
